I love this so much... My most memorable "thoughtful gift" was when my husband and I invited college student friend over for dinner (we were in our 30s) and he brought a MAGNUM of Yellow Tail Sweet Red Roo because he knew I liked wine. It was the sweetest gesture...and literally the sweetest wine I ever tasted, because of course I had to have a glass.

What a great piece.

If I make fried chicken, it means "I love you". Once on a visit to my dear father-in-law in FL, he asked me if I would make him some -- of course I was delighted to do so. Turns out he never got to eat it because his wife (my husband's evil stepmother) was policing his diet stringently and never allowed him to have any joy. He devoured every piece while she silently fumed.
